Aniplex USA to Release Madoka Magica on Blu-Ray Next February

Aniplex USA has confirmed during its NYCC/AF panel that it will release the highly anticipated Puella Magi Madoka Magica on Blu-Ray disc beginning on February 14th of next year. This follows its previous announcement of the home video release on DVD during the summer with no word on whether it would release the series on Blu-Ray, prompting an outcry of support during its virtual panels held on NicoNico.

There will be three different releases in a limited edition box set, a regular Blu-ray edition and a regular DVD edition. The limited edition will be a BD/DVD/CD combo in a collector’s box including a twenty-four page booklet, a double sided poster, Kyubey sticker and post cards along with the original soundtrack CD and the clean opening on the disc.

The release will be a bilingual JP/EN release with Sayaka Miki being played by Sarah Williams, QB played by Cassandra Lee and Madoka Kaname played by Christine Marie Cabanos. Further announcements are expected regarding the rest of the English dub cast.
