Guess that’s it. Until E3 then.
Availability confirmed for Holiday 2013. Guess they’re holding off on pricing/final hardware for E3.
Destiny on PS3/PS4 with exclusive content. No real news on the console specs or pricing though.
Destiny on PS4 looming
Activision on stage.
Diablo III for PS3/PS4. Surprised.
Blizzard on stage. WoW on PS4!!!!
Foot chase looks neat
Cool! He ganked bank account information.
New Watch Dogs demo
Watchdogs is now a PS4 title? Sweet.
Ubisoft now on stage. Yay
So new info on Final Fantasy at E3. Guess that’s something
One more thing from Shinji Hashimoto? I wonder what it could be.
Rehashed tech demo is rehashed
How does Square Enix manage to make the most boring and shiny tech demos?
HAHA NO GAME, JUST DEMO from Square Enix. Everyone got trolled again.
lol just kidding
FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE!
Deep Down is the working title with concurrent work on the engine. A bit much, no?
For the sake of brevity, lets just call the engine “Panty Raid”
New Capcom engine’s code name is “panta rhei?” The fuck are they smoking drinking? I want some.
An interpreted presentation on Capcom and PlayStation
Capcom on PS4? Ono-san means good things, yes?
Standard confirmation of third-party support
Now this just looks goofy and trite. A Move jam band?
I guess this means the Move is compatible with the PS4 now?
Wow, using the Move controller as a tool. How novel
Ooh Media Molecule. I love Little Big Planet.
Oh no, the overstatement of the hardware performance. I highly doubt the demo represents what the PS4 is doing.
David Gage is boring. Lack of emotion isn’t what’s missing. It’s competent game design tied into equally compelling writing.
Oh noes, new concepts. Whatever could they be?
Wow, at least The Witness looks nice.
Oh look, the guy that made a crappy allegory to his failed relationship.
Infamous: Second Son. Nailed it
Looks like the next InFamous crossed with a political thriller
A new game based on political protests gone bad and security cameras? This is new.
The subtle details with the first-person view are neat.
So far the idea of a team-based racing game that doesn’t need to be a simultaneous game has only been attempted on smartphones.
smart device app integration is novel.
A team-based racing lifestyle game?
New racing game from Evolution Studios? Forza competitor?
The platforming test with the rope looks like fun
So far it looks like the game will make good use of the PS4 in terms of graphics.
Killzone Shadowfall. Looks neat, though
Ooh, new Killzone
Looks like we’ll be getting new game demos now
Another idea is the potential of cross-device play whether it be a Vita or a smartphone/tablet. Sony realizing that there are other devices aside from its own to play games.
It’s telling that personalization is a driving factor in the way the PS4 is being developed. A stark change from previous development.
Developer commentary on the PS4
First mention of PlayStation Cloud.
The big tease of cloud BC through Gaikai’s cloud tech.
So the PS4 now functions as a game server. Wonder what this means for Nvidia’s Shield? New apps for SEN/PSN
Knack running on Vita Remote Play
Remote Play with Vita. Yawn. Just like Wii U with its tablet.
“base hardware” meaning multiple versions of hardware?
Real-time game assistance through PSN is crazy. Sounds like Remote Access for games.
Facebook and Ustream integration seems par for the course for social. Spectating/broadcasting through the Share button is new.
A console that learns user preferences, and Gaikai’s cloud tech being integrated to enable free quick play for all titles? Interesting.
Dave Perry’s games were always worth playing. Here’s hoping his tech really does enable BC.
Looks like they have the right ideas with the console, but the Gaikai integration is what I’m most interested in.
Again with smartphone integration and Vita integration. Who’s honestly going to carry both devices for PSN access?
The new interface emphasizes content and sharing. Looks like they added video clipping, streaming and capping too. Social aspects also seem much improved over XMB.
New suspend/resume functionality seems nice. The fact that they added a secondary processor for uploads and downloads seems a bit overwrought.
They’re really pushing this idea of integration and sharing with the PS4.
And our first new title in KNACK.
APU=AMD processor variant, again as rumored previously.
The stereo camera for the controller is new and uses the light bar in the controller. The demo does look neat, at least.
Dual Shock 4 leak was real after all. no obvious Start/Select buttons.
As rumored, Sony went x86 and used a modified GPU with 8GB of RAM and a hard drive. Excellent.
The fact that the PS4 emphasizes the game itself may mean that Sony may have learned its lessons regarding ease of game development with the design of the system.
It should be noted that SCE Japan had no direct input in the system design of the PS4. This is stark contrast to the previous consoles designed in Japan.
Mark Cerny has a pedigree in this business, but did he nail the PS4′s specs? We’ll find out soon.
Personally, I want to see the new controller
We’re in for a long event.
There you have it folks, PS4 new logo.
Andrew House sounds like a PR guy to the core, all words, no substance. Boring
PlayStation Mobile has yet to get off the ground outside of HTC and Xperia smartphones
In other words Andrew House is spewing out the same tripe they have been for the past six years.
Andrew House coming to the stage with the old PSOne tone. Yay
I wonder how much Sony spent to rent the theater and the stage setup
Wow an imaging reel to start things out.
Afternoon everyone, settle in for three hours of RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDGEEEEEEEEEE RAAAAAAAAAACEEEEEEEER
