AX09: Nippon Ichi Announces Sakura Wars: So Long My Love As Dual-Language 2-Disc Set

ImageDuring AX09, video game publisher Nippon Ichi has announced that it plans to release Sakura Wars: So Long My Love in a rather novel manner.

Instead of attempting to compress the entire game on one disc which would force the publisher to remove content, Nippon Ichi have decided to release the game on two discs with one containing English spoken dialogue and text, and the other containing Japanese spoken dialogue with English subtitles.

The game itself is the first US release of the long-running tactical simulation/dating simulation hybrid developed by Sega and RED Entertainment in 1994 as a multimedia franchise that spans multiple TV series and alternate OVA releases, some seeing a US release.

The game will be released this winter for the Playstation 2 and Nintendo Wii at an MSRP of $39.99 with no details on a Limited Edition version at this time.
