BAM Marketing Dismissed By SPJA CEO
In an internal email sent earlier today, newly hired SPJA CEO Michael Lattanzio has relayed to all related personnel that all relations related to BAM Marketing were terminated with immediate effect due to the SPJA’s desire to seek another direction in terms of marketing and promotion.
However, the real story may lie with Anime Expo dealers that have been disgruntled with the manner in which the marketing company handled dealer placement in the Los Angeles Convention Center during Anime Expo, as well as claims of dubious business dealings concerning company head Chase Wang.
The email even goes as far to restrict SPJA and related personnel from further contact with BAM Marketing concerning the SPJA or anything related to the Anime Expo convention due to a standing confidentiality agreement.

Subject: SPJA-BAM! Relationship / Message from the CEO via Thai Nam PhamDear All Team Members:
Effective today, the SPJA has terminated relations with BAM! I have expressed to Mr. Wang our appreciation and gratitude for his years of support and have wished him well in his future endeavors. The SPJA will be going in a new direction where we will aggressively promote, raise awareness, strengthen existing partnerships while simultaneously establishing new ones. It is an exciting time to develop the marketing side of our business as our goal is to grow revenues and enhance our brand name worldwide.
Please be advised that no one within the organization should be in further contact with Chase and/or BAM! (or vice versa) as it specifically relates to SPJA business as this would cause a breach of his confidentiality arrangement with SPJA.
At this point, it is not known whether the SPJA will handle marketing and PR on an internal level, or whether it will select another PR firm.
Disclosure: AnimeNews.biz has participated in past cross-promotional opportunities with BAM Marketing and is reevaluating future opportunities with the company.
