Basquash Site Opens Promo Movie Page

The Basquash project has relaunched its website with a new promotional movie page that collects the first ten promotional films first released last December in a cryptic Flash page.  The series will launch in April on MBS with regional network repeaters picking up the show as well.

The series was created by Shoji Kawamori of Macross fame in a collaboration with French producer Thomas Romain, noted producer of Oban Star Racers, as a counter point to the serious work done with Macross.  The show takes place on Earthdash, where its inhabitants gaze on its moon and the technologically advanced lunar city of Mooneyes with awe. Dan JD, a boy living in Rollingtown on Earthdash’s surface, gets caught up in Bigfoot Basketball a fast-paced sport played with giant Bigfoot biped robots.

The series also plays up the basketball connection by making heavy use of Nike livery and branding, as the Japanese branch is sponsoring the production along with other major companies.
