China’s ASTRO PLAN Rips off Macross/Gundam?

While recovering from the boredom of Nokia’s CES keynote, John from AnimeNation posted this odd looking trailer for a Chinese animated series called Astro Plan, found here with images below. The series either pays tribute to Macross/Gundam or rips it off entiirely depending on your point of view.

    Once again another example of China's blatant disregard for the copyright laws. I wonder how quickly will Sunrise, Big West/Studio Nue, or even Harmony Gold will sue the Chinese company who made this blatant plagiarism.

    Blame Chinese Prime Minister Wen Xia Bao for complaining about his grandkids
    watching Japanese anime. This trend will unfortunately continue until Japan
    decides to put its foot down.
