NewsErotic Manga Anthology Comic AG Ending at #110
The venerable adult manga anthology Comic AG published by boutique adult manga publisher Icarus Comics at issue #110, marking an end to a successful, if not trying run for an anthology known for introducing some of the most popular Japanese adult manga authors to long-time enthusiasts and new readers in the US.
The anthology was sold in the conventional comics format as a way to gain a foothold in the (now shrinking) comics shop direct sales market, as the main distributor for the market in Diamond moves away from small publishers in order to focus on distribution for larger general publishers.
As long-time fan of Comic AG and Icarus Comics, I’d like to give my thanks for the anthology, as it rekindled my appreciation of ero-manga and introducing me to the works of Tuna Empire (a personal favorite), Erect Sawaru and reintroducing me to the work of Tohru Nishimaki.
