Funimation Sales Revenue Up, Navarre Revenue up Tenfold Despite Publishing Losses
ICV2 Funimations earnings report solicited after the close of the NYSE yesterday and reports that Funimation’s second quarter sales were up from 2008 year to date sales to $1.9 million, though an additional $1.75 million fee for the transition of Dragon Ball video game development rights to Namco Bandai from Infogrames was also counted as additional revenue for the subsidiary, which helped parent Navarre increase total revenue by 10x compared to the same timeframe in Q2 2008 to $4.2 million despite a $2.5 million loss across the publishing division in the same time period, with the increased Funimation revenue shoring up the losses.
