Jailbreak Progenitor GeoHot Claims First Hacked PS3
The progenitor of the iPhone Jailbreak known as GeoHot has a new entry to his blog detailing his latest claimed accomplishment in full read/write access to system memory and hypervisor access to the main processor and vector units found in the PS3.
By acquiring such access to hardware and software, this opens up the potential for homebrew development.
The initial exploit or related memory dumps have not been posted for fear of retaliation by Sony either through legal avenues or via firmware update.
