Locarno Promos for First Squad, Redline and Summer Wars Online

Promotional trailers for the First Squad, Redline and Summer Wars films are now online via the Locarno Film Festival page.

First Squad is set during the opening days of World War II on the Eastern Front. A group of Soviet teenagers with extraordinary abilities have been drafted into a special unit to fight the invading German army. Studio 4C produced the animation while Russian artists Misha Sprits and Aljosha Klimov developed the concept and storyline.

Redline is produced by Madhouse & director Takeshi Koike, best known for his work on the Animatrix short “World Record” and is a unique take on sci-fi racing.

Summer Wars is also produced by Madhouse and staff from The Girl Who Leapt Through Time including director Mamoru Hosoda and is a super-flat take on the trials and tribulations of the family summer vacation
