Metal Slug XX for PSP on February 23rd

Metal Slug XX cover artAtlus has announced the forthcoming US release of Metal Slug XX on the Playstation Portable in an email sent out this morning on February 23rd for $19.99.

The newest installment follows up Metal Slug X originally released on the Sony Playstation in 1998 and features ad-hoc multiplayer support over Wi-Fi, a new “Combat School” practice mode and Ralf/Clark from the King of Fighters/Ikari Warriors franchise as bonus characters.

In addition to the above, Atlus will be offering Leona from the aforementioned franchises as a bonus character via paid downloadable content on launch day over the Playstation Network for an additional $0.99 as well as a contest in cooperation with the Playstation Blog for a pair of commemorative boxers, owing to the signature running gag in the series.
