I have mixed feelings…of course I’m happy, because I really like Naruto and don’t generally care about most of the edits that the US makes.

CN wouldn’t let there be anything of that sort either even if they weren’t so cheap as to replace high quality anime with their “homemade” stuff. Unless it ended up on Adult Swim, there would be no cursing, so smoking, minimal blood, and they don’t tell you whats in those books at all hardly.

I’m sure Disney will want to do a lot to it, but I’m also sure they can’t change everything. Hidan will be there, and he’ll still be vicious and potty mouthed, it just won’t be a slur of cursewords, which I sometimes find annoying anyways…Disney does have a tendency to be even more vicious about child appropriate programming then CN and Nick combined, but if they can show Hannah Whoretanna, they can show a few ninjas kicking butt too.

Everyone who’s complaining about this should be happy it’s even coming on television, and if you can’t deal with the child friendliness, the DVDs are uncut. Get a job, get some money, go buy them as they come out.

When I heard about “Naruto Shippuden” switching to Disney XD it was α big shock to me cuz when I watch it online it uses a lot of profanity, so I belive Disney XD will indeed edit the entire show and put “Fuck” as (blub) αηd ” bitch” as (dog) or some shit.. Like (Mikey)…..

Bottomline: CN and Adultswim HATE anime. They owned the rights to Naruto and never finished the first episodes.
For those of us who can’t spare the money for the uncut DVDs this is a good thing. Will stuff get cut/edited? Of course. That would’ve happened on CN anyways.
In the meantime we suck it up, read the manga and thank Disney for bringing Shippuden to America. If we really need the cursing and balls talk then we can watch the subtitled episodes on Youtube.

My son (9) is crazy excited ! Im not sure about the editing thing . We have bought him a few uncut box sets which freaked me out when i watched them with him so if the Shippuden episodes on xd are not any worse then he will be able to watch them. Thank goodness for my dvr because his dad or i will be watching every episode before him to make sure its not too bad.

You’ll be fine on that front. While the content is more mature in nature than the first series, Disney’s edits will make sure that a lot of the more obvious issues will get minimized for broadcast while keeping the uncut footage for the DVDs.

Besides Nick has the Avatar,Wolverine and the X-Men, and IronMan Armored Adventures and when Digimon was on Disney that girl Zoey that turned into that butterfly humanoid Digimon and it/she had big breast which was revealing and it kind off turned me on which means that they r going keep the sexy jutsu but they might make them wear a bikini like in the video games and could change the name. Also in the US version of the magna Sai called Naruto a girl ,it wasnt no crack on having no penis. Besides I dont care about the Japanese intros anyway upset for the season 1 and maybe 2, but that scene with Sasuke on that cross naked with Orochimaru;s snake around him in the second intro was pretty gay. I hope that they use the intro from 1st ans 2nd Naruto season from Cartoon Network and maybe the 1st one of Shippuden “Hero A Come Back.” I mean look at X-Men,Aaron Stone, and Spectacular SpiderMan they’re not that bad and VIZ Media is in charge of the editing and dubbing, so quit complaining. I’m just happy it’s on again! I can’t watch videos on my computer because it is a piece of crap. And if they only have the rights to air it and VIZ does the editing, it will be the same as if it were on CN. And besides, XD is very different from the regular Disney Channel. Naruto is a kid show if it wasnt it wouldnt even be on CN to begin with.Disney XD is now favorite channel again when it was Toon Disney they officially have good shows, now CN is crap I dont even watch it anymore except for Robot Chicken and Bleach.

I think that this change is stupid! Naruto belongs on cartoon network, just like it started, it remained almost exactly the same way it was aired in Japan. I didn't see anything wrong with that, so why change to disney, all that they are going to do is edit the show to the point that no previous fans are going to want to watch it, me included. I really dont care if posting here makes a difference, but I just needed to vent my anger somewhere, I mean really, isnt Disney for little kids? Why didnt they just sick to their normal programming and let CN buy the rights to air Naruto Shippuden? Lile I said, I know for a fact that there will be many people who will not be watching Naruto Shippuden for the simple fact of Disney will slaughter it tothe point that there will be no point of wathing at all.

The problem is that Cartoon Network passed up airing Shippuden because the
people that run the channel now don't like anime. Disney has cash and wants
Disney XD to do well because they want more boys buying stuff.

I've actually watched a very small portion of the first episode and I can honestly say, as a fan of the manga and CN anime, it blows. A lot. I mean A LOT. Totally shifts focus from the original target audience and puts it more towards little brats. It makes me sick whenever good, decent stuff from Japan or wherever is butchered whenever it's ported to the States.

Why not sit down to watch an entire episode before forming an opinion instead of pining for Cartoon Network? Are you one of those fans that immediately writes off anything related to Disney because of the image they have?

Since you didn't even watch a complete episode of Shippuden on the channel, your opinion can't be taken seriously because everything else I've read from other fans (and saw for myself) states the complete opposite of your opinion.

Yeah Naruto may belong on CN but have you noticed that Toonami is GONE? ALL the anime is almost gone from the channel and they haven't played antyhing new. Doesn't that say something about CN and not Disney? I actually watched a few episodes of Shippuden on XD (last night I stumbled upon it by accident) and I felt that nothing was cut out (from what I recall). If CN wanted Shippuden they would have it.
I'm actually angrier at CN for cutting off its anime supply out of the blue. A poor choice in my opinion.

What I really wanted is for naruto shippuden to be switched over to adult swim, with bleach and the other animes they show. I have nothing against disney but naruto shippuden is more of a older teen to adult program so yes thier will be editing for example chapter 347 were konohamaru does the sexy jutsu that whole part will be different. I think that what disney should have done is take kingdom hearts and turned it in to an animated show since disney characters are all ready there. I love anime because animes tell stories and are not overly censored like some american cartoons are because of parents.

Why would they make naruto be put on Disney. Are they trying to make every anime fan angry? If anything the show should be put on adult swim so that it could actually put on english tv in the same way it is showed in Japan. With all the cursing and action still there. On Disney this will never happen and that really angers me. WHY would they do such a thing. Its insane! Disney doesn't deserve the honor of having naruto. They shold of given it to adult swim or at least spike tv or something like that. You can't say no one likes anime because if anime came on more than just on saturdays i would watch it ever night and i know a ton of other people that would do the same.
I've been waiting for a long time for naruto shippuden to be put in english but now that you tell me its going to be on disney i have lost all hope that i'll like it in english. I might as well just stick to watching it in subbed form. Because if they made the show kiddy like they do with every other show its not worth watching in english.

I like Disney XD but I gotta say its for little kids and Naruto Shippuden isn't a little kids show I mean if you watch all of the episodes of Naruto Shippuden especially the new episode that just got released their gonna cut a lot of stuff out of it I mean there are a lot of blood and inappropriate language for youngsters to even be able to watch it. So Disney is going to cut off all the good stuff so that little children can be able watch it…I don't think they should change the anime so young people can watch it…they should have given it to someone else who wouldn't change anything. Some anime in the first place aren't meant for little kids, i guess u can say that kids are just attracted to it but come on little kids its a no for you to watch Naruto Shippuden unless when Disney XD changes it….well i gotta say have fun little kids with the anime when they change it XD!!!

I’ve watched Naruto Shippuden on Disney XD for sometime now and I must say..the edits ARE NOT THAT BAD…I mean when Naruto first aired on CN they edited it a lot( not as much as Disney XD) but it was still editted mainly season 1-2 but after season 2 Viz and CN agreed to lighten up on the editing but if you remembered that on CN Naruto was originally rated TV-Y7 but they changed it to TV-PG making it CN’s first PG rated show. Atleast on Disney XD it started as TV-PG and they only air it at nights along side teen action orienated shows such as Aaron Stone and X-Man Evolution. You know the scene where Deidara arm was torn off by Kakashi’s new Sharingan( that black vortex thingy) anyway the part where that thing was sucking in the blood from Deidara’s ripped off arm…well it wasnt editted or cut out because they’ll edit it but at the same time the edit must make sense so if the scene doesnt seem right with that edit they wont edit that one scene. Plus its Viz thats editting, Disney XD only got rights to air it not EDIT it thats VIZ.

Why yes Naruto is a very mature anime meant mainly for teens in the US Naruto is loved and watched by many kids. They have freaking Naruto merchandise for kids like school bookbags, folders, pencils, back to school kits, toys( even Shippuden got toys for little kids in Wal-Mart and Toys R Us), posters, and etc. Naruto is as popular to kids as Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh( which too is a mature teen anime/manga series) and if they aired Naruto Shippuden on Adult Swim it wont get as much viewers as if it was on CN or Disney XD. Not that many kids will stay up that late to watch Naruto Shippuden every Saturday Fnight plus Adult Swim is pretty crowded to air any more new shows( They barely can fit 3 episodes of Bleach plus Kekkaishi and FMA: Brotherhood as well as old shows). I mean mainly little kids are the ones who buys the Naruto games and Ultimate Ninja 4 got low sales because Naruto Shippuden didnt air in the US yet and so many youn Naruto fans never heard of Shippuden so they werent familiar with the series so they never bought the game.

Anyway if it was on CN it wouldnt be any better( that much). On CN they removed most of the really perverted scenes( like when Naruto saw Tsunade for the first time he looked directly at her breasts and when Konahamaru bumped into Tsunade’s boobs and rubbed his face in it was cut out too plus though that they kept blood scenes with large amounts of blood was cut down to seem less gaphic to the younger viewers. Also Tayuya’s cursing was removed instead she called them rats and monkeys. Cursing was removed indefinately plus there was Naruto uncut videos found in stores.

Anyway if Naruto Shippuden was on CN Hidan’s potty mouth will be removed like how they removed Tayaya’s cursing, Sai’s dick jokes will be removed too(it was removed from the Viz Media Shonen Jump manga), blood……..maybe a little bit but seeing the way CN is now they probably might remove some of the blood, perverted scenes( Shippuden really isnt that perverted anyway) will be removed, cursing( when Naruto was on CN during the filler arcs there was a scene where Raiga, one of the Seven Swordsman, said “I had enough of your Crap Pipsqueak!!!”, however they censored it). So Naruto Shippuden on Disney XD isnt really that different. Who knows they might lighten up on the editting in the near future. They’re probably afraid that parents might sue them if there is blood or mild language but I think that they should barely edit season 3 because that season is probably the least most bloody and violent season of Naruto Shippuden and see what happens. Since its Viz thats editting it it might be as violent and graphic as the video games, especially Clash of Ninja, they’ll probably keep Jashin and Kakuzu craving to eat people’s hearts, those 2 are itching for a Halloween special on Disney XD they could do that is if they finish season 2 before the summer ends and show 2 episodes per week on Season 3 since its a filler and Viz usually speeds through those.

WOOOOOWWWW You guys really dont like Disney much well they are a big production company that has been around for many decades now longer than CN or Viz. They have more money and more fans worldwide than CN( which is only in the US) and Viz. I mean my freinds who said that they hated Naruto Shippuden on Disney XD still is willing to waste their money to watch Toy Story 3…which is so hypocritical… many people love Disney( mainly girls)..I used to hate certain things of Disney like the Jonas Brothers and the Mickey Mouse gang…but Disney XD is a channel for boys of the age 9-14 with shows that are 9-18…..I mean honestly does anyone even read each others posts or they just come here to vent out their rage blindly…Well no matter Disney is very powerful and very rich so they wont go bankrupt like how CN almost went bankrupt…pls look at the facts YOU TURDS, it was Viz that decided to put Shippuden on Disney XD, Disney just allow them and made them one request that to make Shippuden less mature for the channel and they dont care how Viz does it or what they do as long as it appears viewable for the general audience..so if you want to BITCH to anyone BITCH to Viz they are the ones editting it, Disney just let them air the show they have nothing to do with editting like what 4Kids did to OnePiece..hey if Disney wanted to edit the series it would have been worse than it is now. Anyway I’ve seen a trailer on the Disney XD website talking about Naruto’s fight with Orochimaru in Season 2…Instead of using that spokesman they usually use for that channel they use that regular spokesman who does a lot of announcements for Viz and Funimation shows and movies. I must say that preview for the fight was well drawn out and explanatory..but well you guys must admit as bad as you say Disney is they do make good and I mean really nice commercials, trailers, and announcements just look at the Disney XD trailer of Four Tailed Naruto VS Orochimaru it was so amazing how they put it together( I think I saw blood in the trailer too). Anyway Im more curious of that episode in particular I wonder how they will do it on their network with Naruto’s transformation..anyway when you where little kids werent you guys big fans of Disney and their shows( not me I only liked Jetix in general).
