New Super Mario Brothers Wii Released Today

Nintendo has officially launched the long-awaited Wii version of the New Super Mario Brothers game originally released on the Nintendo DS in 2008.

The game has caused a bit of controversy for having the Super Guide, which is an automated play through of a level that can take players past difficult portions of said level, intended to help along lower-skilled players who otherwise might have given up on the game.

The game is also available in a red case, which Nintendo has stated will be the only time the company will deviate from its standard of white game cases for marketing purposes, as the parent company demanded the case color on the release.
