Nozomi Entertainment has announced in a press release the opening of two new mobile portals for its and releases.
The portals are formatted specifically for mobile devices and feature links to related information on each release including trailers and purchase information along with other related links.
QR Codes (a Japanese barcode standard used to relay specific information to mobile phones) are also embedded in select copies of Astro Boy and Boogiepop Phantom that link to the portals.
It should be noted that not every phone can read QR Codes, with the best results achieved using phones from Sony Ericsson, HTC, Google Android-based devices such as the myTouch 3G, T-Mobile G1 and the iPhone.
