Sega’s AM2 division, responsible for some of the most memorable arcade machines during the Golden Era have quietly confirmed an HD remake of Daytona USA in Sega Racing Classic. It should be noted that Sega has not held the Daytona USA license since 1999, which is the reason for the rebranding.
The game is built on the high-end Ringwide arcade platform and features the following specifications: 32″ widescreen display at 1280 x 720 resolution, force feedback and linking support up to 4 cabinets for multiplayer.
All of the tracks and cars from the original game are expected to be found in the remake with changes made in regards to branding, with no word on availability.
