Shangri-La Japanese DVD Volumes 7-12 Canned for Slightly More Expensive Boxset

Shangri-La DVDAccording to Japanese retailers Sofmap and Neowing, the planned single volumes 7-12 of the Shangri-La anime adaptation have been canceled, only to have the Shangri-La DVD Collector’s Edition take its place which will contain episodes 13 through 24 and will ship on March 26, 2010 for 36,750 yen or US $384.66.

The boxset will also include DVD covers illustrated by character designer Range Murata and more illustrations from Murata included as a bonus.

Crunchyroll simulcast the series earlier this year from April 5 to September 13 an hour after Japanese broadcast.
