Manga author Shuho Sato has posted the results of his paid online manga publishing experiment on his blog after launching the paid service, with the Say Hello to BlackJack author earning 100,000 yen (around USD $1100) on the first day.

Sato has also posted about 500 free pages starting in July, but he has now posted material from, New Say Hello to Black Jack within a month of its serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine, with new works costing 30 yen per chapter and older chapters costing 10 yen on the new service.

This follows his series of blog entries detailing his dissatisfaction with the current manga publishing industry in Japan, which led him to attempt serialization over the internet with successful results if the first day sales amount is any indication.
