Sony Pictures Home to Distribute Marvel Heroes

Film industry trade paper Variety has confirmed that Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will oversee distribution of the Madhouse-produced Marvel Heroes original animation series, with the newly activated Sony International Product Expansion Group division purchasing the licenses in an effort to profit from international co-productions. 

The first series will feature Iron Man and Wolverine and span 12 30 minute episodes with Sony’s Japanese Animax premium channel airing the series in the Spring of 2010 (to coincide with the release of the second Iron Man film) along with three other series featuring unknown Marvel characters in undisclosed timeframes.
