Sony Posts Animax Asia English Dub of Rurouni Kenshin on Crackle Video Portal
From Crackle:
Sony has posted the Asian English dub of the Rurouni Kenshin TV series, which was released under the name Samurai X by Animax Asia in 1999.
Controversy surrounds this adaptation as Sony had attempted to secure a US licensor for the series in the aforementioned version in 1999 without success, which led to the US licensing of the series in 2001 as Rurouni Kenshin with an all new dub produced by Media Blasters.
The above series is also not to be confused with the successor Samurai X OVA series and film licensed by the former ADV Films in 2002 despite sharing the same name.
