NewsStudie Racing Team Seeking Second Personal Sponsorship
The Studie Racing team, known for fielding a race-prepped BMW Z4 in the Japanese Super GT series that prominently features Miku Hatsune is ahead of the next race in Sepang Malaysia, and has opened up another round of applications.
As corporate sponsorship has become harder to come by, Studie has taken the novel approach of soliciting sponsorship directly from interested parties and fans, which follows up their adoption of fan created race car livery last year in lieu of a professional design and became the first team to qualify in an FIA sanctioned motorsport event with livery created from public input.
Sponsorships range in price from 7,000 yen to 50,000 and include various perks such as exclusive merchandise, apparel, and prominent branding on the pit board, but the offer is only available inside Japan.
