So I watched Disney XD’s treatment of Naruto Shippuden on Wednesday and it was far superior to the treatment given by Cartoon Network for the first series. It turns out Cartoon Network’s edits for the whole of Naruto were garbage compared to the light touch Disney gave the first four episodes of Shippuden.

Ahead of the premiere of Naruto Shippuden tonight, I’ve confirmed that the show will be rated TV-PG for language and violence. Following up on a previous report (as I eat pizza, drink beer and finish my day) Naruto Shippuden will air on Disney XD on October 28th from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m EST with the episodes “Homecoming,” “The Akatsuki Makes Its Move,” “The Results of Training,” and“The Jinchuriki of the Sand”.

The Hollywood Reporter has filed a report stating that Viz has struck a broadcast deal with Disney-ABC Cable Networks to broadcast Naruto Shippuden on the young male-oriented Disney XD cable channel which was rebranded and relaunched this year.
