Funimation has posted the first promotional ad for its forthcoming Shodojo social network on its YouTube channel.
The forthcoming launch of the site will be Funimation’s second attempt to enter the niche social network space after its aborted animeOnline social networking portal was first launched and shuttered in 2006.
The portal is intended to succeed the current Funimation Video portal by adding social networking functionality in the vein of Facebook, MySpace and many other portals with the main draw being its extensive library of anime series.
