Funimation has announced that it has added the Shuffle!, Peach Girl, and Slayers anime series to its channel on the online streaming service Hulu, bringing the total amount of series offered on the service to 14.

Funimation has been one of the few anime distributors in the US market that is readily willing to distribute its content via digital distribution outside of its own channels, going so far as to make it a part of its overall strategy to increase total marketshare and increase exposure to a more general audience beyond the core anime fanbase.

The Funimation channel on Hulu is also one of the few legal outlets to view the recently released Shikabane Hime: Aka anime series produced by Gainax which is currently broadcasting on TV in Japan, with Funimation airing episodes three weeks after original broadcast.
