During the Kinokuniya anime and manga day on December 12th, Kodansha Comics USA had its long awaited launch event with a spate of announcements, starting with the return of Air Gear, Arisa, Fairy Tail, I Am Here, Negima, Negima Neo, Ninja Girls, Zetsubo-sensei, Shugo Chara, and The Wallflower next summer.
Along with the above, there will be a new Rave Master omnibus and the launch of the previously announced Ghost In The Shell Stand Along Complex manga adaptation along with the Phoenix Wright manga adaptation in June with volume 2 in July as well as Deltora Quest and a new Negima omnibus with a new translation. Bloody Monday will be released in August.
Also in July of next year, Sayonara Zetsobu sensei and the return of GON, with Kodansha confirming plans to turn GON into an anime adaptation. License rescues include Under the Full Moon from the defunct Broccoli Books, while Animal Land from the author of Zatch Bell has also been licensed. In an interesting note, Tsubasa and XXXHolic have been confirmed to continue under the Del Rey imprint and not move to Kodansha USA while all titles from Kodansha will be priced around $10.99 and omnibuses will be $19.99.
