image 128 The Anime Network and Funimation Launch YouTube Video Rentalsfunimationlogo The Anime Network and Funimation Launch YouTube Video RentalsThe Anime Network and Funimation have rolled out video rentals on YouTube shortly after the debut of the service last week in a round of updates to the portal. The service is only available in the US at this time and requires a Google account with Google Checkout to purchase content.

The Anime Network is pricing its content for rental at $1.99 per episode, or US$3.99 for features and movies with a seven day rental window while Funimation is pricing its content at $0.99 per episode with a 24 hour rental window.

Funimation Titles (anime):

* Sands of Destruction episodes 3-13
* El Cazador de la Bruja episodes 5-26
* Bamboo Blade episodes 5-26
* Spice and Wolf episodes 3-13

The first episodes of each of the Funimation titles are available for free and each rental is being streamed in English, with subtitled version still available for free viewing if/when available.
